The application is the result of a partnership between the Federal Senate and Bos Soluções e Serviços, a company specializing in communicational accessibility.
The artist
This exhibition presents the second photographic work of Luciano Ambrósio de Campos. At the age of 48 and a training librarian, Luciano is a parliamentary advisor to the Federal Senate and is visually impaired from birth. It has Pigmentary Retinitis, an inherited, progressive and irreversible pathology that causes retinal degeneration.
Luciano began to photograph from the "First Workshop of Inclusive Photography", held in the Federal Senate in December 2016, which awakened him to the art of photography.
His main inspirations are the visual memories of childhood and adolescence, and his perception of the world through the other senses. The heat of the sun, the ground underfoot, the wind felt in the body; help him to make compositions of objects and landscapes conceived in the imagination of the artist.
The exposure
"Looks - The World Seen by the Sensations of a Blind" is a collection of 15 images that portray the world from a different "look", where what matters is not only what is seen with the physical eyes, but the sensations that the images can cause. Laughter, enchantment, childhood memories. Prosaic images that show beauty in the simplicity of things. The exhibition takes place at Galeria do Terreo, in Annex I of the Senate, every day from August 27 to September 21, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Visitation is free!
