Description
The idea of the sports group was to deploy professional management of football and develop local sport. The initial goal was that the club was based in Manaus. However, members had a problem with one of the requirements in the specifications for professional clubs: the stadium.
At the time, the stadiums of Manaus turned construction sites to hold the World Cup in 2014 and, therefore, none of them could be nominated for official matches. The board then decided to opt for the municipality of Iranduba (20 kilometers from Manaus) to send their games at the Municipal Stadium Álvaro Maranhão. Two months later, the club was federated in the Amazonian Football Association and the Brazilian Football Confederation.
