Description
Obviously, this application isn't likely to settle the debate, but it should provide food for thought and lively discussion. I've had Christians tell me the app promotes atheism and atheists tell me it promotes belief in God. However, the result is not predetermined nor is this app intended to expound one conclusion. Rather, it is designed to help you think about the issues.
After you've done a calculation, you can share the results via email, Google+, etc. (Facebook doesn't work, but that's Facebook's fault not mine.)
Some suggestions for use:
1. Facilitate discussions between believers and non-believers, to help understand differences.
2. Guide a discussion in an introductory philosophy class.
3. Conversation starter when you are sitting on an airplane or bus. (Ok, maybe not.)
Questions you can try to answer using the app:
1. Is an indifferent or evil God more probable than an all-powerful, loving God?
2. Is a God with limited power more probable than an all-powerful God?
3. How do your answers to the individual questions differ from those of a friend with different beliefs, and why?
Your suggestions for improving this app are welcome. Please use the "Email developer" link to send your suggestions.
Mathematical note: the app uses Bayes' theorem to perform the calculations, with a prior probability of 50%. Individual probabilities are restricted to the range 1% to 99% to prevent any single consideration from determining the outcome. Note that the reason that each observation has two questions is that we need these two responses to apply Bayes' theorem. If you are interested in Bayes theorem, check out my "Estimate Anything" app.

5 ★ This app can point out inconstancies between a believer's concept of God and the reality of the existence of pain and suffering in the world. Loved it!
3 ★ I don't this did much for me. I'm still agnostic leaning towards atheism. This won't change your mind
5 ★ You have done a good job with this app. My results says its completely likely to have an indifferent God with unlimited power. Please make more apps like this, I'm reconmmending this to my friends, well done.
3 ★ The questions and texts are worded in such to be anti-god it seems. I could easily put in different facts that would get different responses more in tune to pro-God. Plus unless you actually have an real understanding of Christianity have open mind you couldn't accurately answer any of it truthfully.
2 ★ A person's personal observations don't create fact. Unless I rewrite the definition of 'god' to include my pillow, the questions are moot. 1 additional star for not requiring outlandish permissions. You did beat my assumption on that item.
1 ★ I won't get into it to in depth about how flawed this app is. That said if a person dl's this to try to get an appraisal of likelihood of god's existence but then have 2 attributes to describe him with him or her with hmm 3 degrees of the traits and them are asked 13 opinion questions and givena 7 point rating scale to rate the attributes' consistency with their own description the results will be skewed biased unscientific and fundamentally flawed.
1 ★ This app entirely ignored the third and most important option of "I dont know". All of the questions are asking your opinion about things you cannot possibly know.
5 ★ And I love that Michael is responding to reviews quickly, even at all! A great app, the developer is nice, and great functionality all-around
1 ★ You can't have a question dies this exist and have the first question be "what are the attributes of your god". There is no answer for non existent. This is another lame attempt to try and reconfirm beliefs in those who already have them with arguments from ingorance fallacies. Deleted
1 ★ Time is precious! Don't waste it using this app.
3 ★ Believe it! He is all around us, the almighty spirit of God is within everything- in You & Me (ie why we r 'alive'). Get ready 2B in Awe. I know our Heavenly Father, our Loving Creator 'EXISTS' (but will u giv me ur time/ patience/ open-mindedness 2 present my case? Testimonial & evidence... LOVE, THANX GOD
4 ★ Bonne appli. Fait reflechir. Mais les croyants ne vont/peuvent pas repondre de facon honnete a ces questions. Leurs reponses sont naturellement biaisées par leur foi :)
5 ★ I'm already a believer in Jesus Christ, but your app is very good, I am really glad that there are some believers on google play ! I support you :-)
4 ★ I believe in God's existence, Humans may not have enough wit to challenge the question of the extent of His love and Powers, for the wisdom of man is unwise before God.....
1 ★ The religkous god (s) doesn't, another god(s)? We don't know, but nothing so far, probably the product of the human mind when reality is too harsh, no evidene or proof yet and probably will never be.
