If you use Strava, get instant HR and Power insights, and optimise your training and recovery with HRV and other well-being metrics.
PLEASE NOTE: HRV recording using camera is not supported on some Android phones (due to camera or flash setup) - as such you may not be able to use the camera to record your HRV, but you should still be able to use many other features!
Link your Strava for instant insights including training load (TSS) and time in zones. Record your Heart Rate Variability (HRV), sleep, nutrition and well-being metrics in Wattson Blue for readiness feedback.
You can track your HRV using the camera on your phone, or if you have an Oura ring, you can link this to automatically sync your HRV and sleep with Wattson Blue.
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is an important indicator of your body’s stress and recovery levels. Tracking your HRV and other metrics, and training according to feedback from Wattson Blue will enable you to challenge yourself, stay motivated and hit your goals.
Wattson Blue uses pro level sports science, developed alongside student athletes at Oxford University, to help athletes (and teams) improve their physical and mental well-being and maximise each athlete's long-term personal performance.

5 ★ This app is thoroughly brilliant! A strong balance of objective and subjective training and recovery measures. I've used several different tools in the past but none is as eloquent a solution as Wattson Blue.
5 ★ I highly recommend Wattson Blue 1. It pulls all previous workouts from your Strava account and any other existing health applications. This helps with pre-loading existing data (rides, runs, etc) into the application. This means from first use it provides you with feedback and recommendations for enhancing your training. 2. It provides a holistic approach to training. Meaning after taking the HR & HRV metrics every morning it asks you questions pertaining to your general life besides just your training e.g. "sleep quality, emotional balance, mental performance, etc. All the questions are scored + training stats, providing you with a more accurate understanding of your overall readiness to train. 3. It projects your fitness scores into the future using Training Stress Balance (TSB) through using graphical outputs and tables. I found this useful for understanding the impact of my training and when my body starts to detrain. The graphical displays are cool and interesting e.g. analyzing your weekly training load overlaid with your impact factor. Also, it tracks your sleep, alcohol and caffeine intake, I found this useful as it reminded me to keep these in a reasonable range. 4. It provides you with weekly insights. This feature is like your virtual personal training coach. If you are not the type to go through all your stats, this section will give you insights to your overall performance and then recommend what you can do in the upcoming weeks to enhance your training. It can pick up rest weeks from build weeks in your history and recommend training accordingly. Overall, I love Wattson Blue. It makes me more accountable in my training and provides me with very specific personal advice on my performance as if I had a personal coach.
4 ★ Just downloaded it and while VERY curious to use it, it refuses to load past the login. Perhaps servers are down? UPDATE: it appears all is working albeit with some bugs (looping when uploading strava data). But i was able to scan and load my HRV stuff this morning. Seems pretty nifty ans looking forward to building my data!
5 ★ Hi, love the comprehensiveness of this app regarding my training and recovery. One bit of feedback though. Being an American, I'd really like the option to have my volume in miles and my pace in min/mile. Otherwise, keep up the great work!
5 ★ Great App and has potential to be even better! The integration with Oura Ring is essential. Fees for the premium membership seems reasonable. One thing can be improved is that the interface & navigation can be more intuitive when viewing data, especially for premium users with years of logs.
5 ★ I enjoy this app more than my other fitness apps. It doesn't just spit out basic data but offers detailed insight to help you live a healthier life and/or become a better athlete. Not for the faint of heart though. You have to figure out both how to use it and how to interpret the data.
5 ★ Very convenient and easy to use. Employs heart rate characteristics to provide a different perspective for your training and tracks your subjective responses. There is cited science relating these characteristics to training. Your data is taken using the phone camera and flash.
5 ★ The app is a really great way of monitoring both daily and long term trends in recovery and performance! Easy to link to other apps like Strava and PolarFlow so you can have everything in one place.
5 ★ This app is like you have a personal coach by your side. My training has been stagnant for a while, but wattson blue app tells me when to push and when to rest. Highly recommend it.
