Download the latest Record My Hours application, version 2.2.0, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Tools app is developed by Fair Work Ombudsman and is easy to download and install.
Previous versions, including 2.2.0, 2.1.2, 1.20.2, are also available. If you need help or have any problems, please let us know.
Description
The app uses smartphone features including Wi-Fi and GPS tracking to automatically record a user’s time at work. It also allows users to manually input shifts or fine-tune an estimated shift for added accuracy. Users can then send the information to their preferred representative if they have a workplace issue.
The app has many other features. Users can:
• Keep a roster of all their shifts, including leave
• Set and receive notifications about their roster
• Enter and keep track of multiple jobs and workplaces
• Take photos of information that belongs to them or they’re allowed to access, like their own pay slips
• Export the data to their preferred representative
• Back up information to their own personal cloud storage
• Record piece work arrangements (including work locations for itinerate workers)
• Access the app in 18 languages.
Record My Hours is 100% private and secure. No data is centrally stored and no one can access a user’s data unless they choose to share it.
*Users must keep Wi-Fi turned on in Settings to get the most accurate estimate of their time at work.
*Automatic recording won’t work for all job types, such as people working in places with no mobile or Wi-Fi coverage or people who travel a lot for work. Manual recording has been incorporated to cater for this.
*Privacy and confidentially rules apply in the workplace. Don’t take photos of other people or business information.

Please note: Automated shift tracking is dependent on device settings and location accuracy. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
App permissions
Record My Hours 2.2.0 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.

2 ★ App has issues with back button, loses work records, crashes when i try to add a photo. I'm not even sure the app can open the phone gallery. The comment box doesn't scroll. Notifications don't help as there is no option to remind you to tag on and off for a shift. Trying to fill past worked shifts is difficult and app loses records.
1 ★ Not very intuitive. App relies too heavily on WiFi scanning which leads to inaccurately recorded shifts that need to be manually adjusted. After 2 weeks I found it easier to just keep a pen and paper diary.
3 ★ The concept and UI is astonishing but there is lots of lags here and there. Hope you improve the fluency soon. Best Regards Sam
1 ★ Super annoying. I live like 4km from work.. its always automatically adding shifts in the middle of the night when im no where near work from location based recording. Useless.

2 ★ Was working OK until recently. I have 2 part time jobs, not geographically close. Past week random shifts happening, most starting in the middle of the night. My shifts are over by 11pm

4 ★ I love the way it works...reasonably accurate, but not always! It seems to be using a lot of battery power since the last update! I have uninstalled this app...has gone to $#!&. USES TOO MUCH BATTERY.
2 ★ Worked well at first but seems to be running slower & slower as more data is added. Now at a point where it is painful to use.
4 ★ It's good - just wish there was a way of restoring data between different phone operating systems (Android only backs up to Dropbox, Apple only backs up to iCloud) and can't import the Exported data.
5 ★ This is fantastic. Well laid out user interface and works really well. One minor bug I have found: when viewing the work record, setting the period to last pay period, and setting a period of two weeks results in a 15 day period displayed instead of a 14 day period.
1 ★ The information says just keep wifi on. But without leaving the building it is contantly ending the shifts after a short time so they always have to be manually adjusted. Useless app. I don't want to have to use location services as it drains the battery and chews through the data.
