Description
If you look in your garden shed, or under the kitchen or laundry sink, you are likely to find a number of potentially dangerous goods. Some of the more common of these are things such as pesticides, petrol, paint, mineral turpentine, methylated spirit, gas cylinders, oven and drain cleaners, bleach, glues and aerosols.
You are probably happy to store these items at home, or carry them in the car on the way home from the shop, because you know where they are, and manage any risk associated with carrying or storing them. You store them out of harm’s way, so that no one can swallow or mishandle them, and you keep them upright so they don’t tip and leak.
However, put these items in an aircraft, flying high above the earth, and subject to severe atmospheric pressure (up to 75kPa), extremes of temperature and vibration (1g to 8g of acceleration), and they can behave unpredictably.
The Can I pack that? Dangerous Goods App can help inform you about what you can and can’t pack in your luggage. And, if it can be brought aboard, guide you on how to do it safely.
If you can’t find the item you’re looking for you can submit the search query to our team of Dangerous Goods Inspectors for classification.

3 ★ Was totally curious on one thing if I'd be questioned about taking a Stethocope in my carry on. Haha. Cause the heads on them if a proper one from a medical store have quite the bulky metal head.

1 ★ This app froze on the front screen every time I opened it (including after uninstalling & reinstalling, & waiting several minutes in case it was simply loading, & trying it on 6 different occasions). Nothing worked in it at all. I use nearly 50 other apps & have problems with none of them. DG is important for travellers. This was disappointing :(.
1 ★ Had two goes at getting this app to work, keeps telling me it can't access the DG database, I need to check my internet connection, yet I'm on a 4g connection. Typical CASA rubbish.
