3 ★ The app is great... when it works. Every few weeks it locks me out and I have to uninstall and reinstall it.
4 ★ Owna has a very good support for educators. Our feedback and needs are quickly heard and added to the app. The only thing that needs changing are the notifications. There should be a configuration to select what I want to receive or not. At the moment I receive notifications about check lists, attendances, parents comments, and other classrooms that are not mine is 24/7 even when I am not logged in the app. I really don't want to receive all that on my time off.
1 ★ It was great for the first week. Then couldn't download photos (now fixed). Now it gives me the same notification every day about a post I viewed and responded to 4 days ago. Since the update last night, I can't view any information about my child's day for today or any days in the past. For all the extra benefits it has over other apps, it's very buggy and hard to use. Edit: it's continually terrible, buggy, and has a flawed system for generating revenue. Also: "Sync" ≠ "Sink"
4 ★ As a Educator I think it is one of the better apps for childcare documentation. Only thing I would change would be that the homepage was where you find tabs to all areas of app, just is a bit annoying trying to navigate it. Once you find what your looking for eg. A drafted document; the actual information, templates, documents are great! I don't mind only being able to capture 10 photos as this ensures I'm really only capturing those wow moments that count.
5 ★ Live this app. Only feedback I have for an improvement would be making it easier to distinguish whether I've like something already. If it has a red heart I'm not sure if that's from another parent or me. Maybe make it so it's a red outline when someone else has liked it, and I full red heart when do? Overall the best app I've used for childcare/school
3 ★ the notification fix is great! however it only appears to half work.. the notification is no longer there after it appears in the notification tab once(regardless if you read it or not). tried refreshing but it's blank again and no notification can be seen. updated 23rd March . it's working now 😀
1 ★ everytime I'm on the app its updating. My children go to daycare 2 x week. I come on here to see their photos and for information. most times I click on the app to go into it I have to wait for another update. its constantly requires an update and this becomes frustrating.
5 ★ Great app. For peace of mind when starting your child at daycare! There was an initial glitch where the child's profile could not be accessed. OWNA Support team was notified and the issue was rectified within a few short hours! Very happy with both the app and the customer support!
1 ★ It's good, but loaded with ads, and the only way to get rid of ads is if the child care centre upgrades. Parents aren't able to pay for an ad free app just for themselves. And judging by the developers response, it won't change. PARENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO PAY TO REMOVE THE INTRUSIVE ADS.
5 ★ As a Centre Director OWNA has made my life easier. So many fantastic features - Rosters, Time sheets, Incident Reports, Daily Routines, Checklists, QIP, programming and so much more and new things added constantly. My old app was hardly updated much in our three years with them.
3 ★ The app is okay, just feels a bit clunky when using the app doesn't really flow(user friendly) Constantly have to update. Could you guys look at making it more interactive though? Have a specific login for family members: Grandma, Grandad etc. Have a section where you can upload photos about what you've been doing as a family so educators can learn more about you as a family and see what your little ones enjoy doing outside of care. Help encourage more educator/ family interaction.
3 ★ I am receiving notifications at 9pm or even 1am about unsigned incident reports. When I tap the notification, I get to a page that is not about an incident but about a sign-in into OWNA, that is not for me to action but for staff.. 1. The notification is about an incident but it takes about a sign-in, page. Why is this not a big? 2. Why sent notifications at 1am or 5am? Not a bug, just inadequate design.
