Description
This application helps you discover digital TV towers (DTV) near your location and it helps you find the bearing from your location so that you can point you antenna to catch those stations. It works based on a list of antennas broadcasting digital TV over-the-air (OTA) in the United States, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Austria, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, Uruguay and Paraguay.
For users in the US, it can also display the FCC calculated broadcast area over the map!
This app is especially useful for campers and travelers using camper vans, RVs, or motorhomes, ensuring you get the best TV reception wherever you are.
Be aware that compasses in phones are not very good and they are often wrong or get stuck. That cannot be corrected from a software application such as this one. Sometimes it's useful to “calibrate” the devices's compass by performing movements with the phone describing an "8".
For now this helper is just for United States, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Argentina Brazil, Colombia and Uruguay.
Sources:
USA stations were retrieved from FCC's CDBS database. Brazilian stations were retrieved from Anatel. Argentina ones were retrieved from TDA home page. UK Freeview transmitter locations were retrieved from http://www.ukfree.tv. Canadian stations were retrieved from Industry Canada. Australian station info was downloaded from http://data.gov.au/dataset/licensed-broadcasting-transmitter-data. Transmitters for Ireland (Saorview) come from https://www.saorview.ie/

1 ★ Open it for first time, fine, so long as you don't try to change preferences or, for that matter, touch it again - anywhere. It instantly crashes, every time. Therefore, utterly useless. Maddening, and such a shame.
1 ★ first time install seemed to work. tried again 90 mins later and everyone I touch the screen it shrinks back and closes! no idea why and no explanation. will now uninstall and try something else 😩
5 ★ This is amazing. Tells you distance and direction to nearest antenna towers. It also has a map with all the towers and expected towers coverage area. Makes it really easy.
4 ★ Es wäre sxhön ein extra Knopf um direkt settings>playback>Quality zu ändern können. Unterwegs will Ich data sparen und zuhause durch wifi + Bluetooth Lautsprecher bessere Qualität haben. English: It would be nice to have an extra button on the main screen, to change the sound quality. Simply press when leaving home to save on data, press again when arrive to get better quality. BETTER YET, HAVE A SETTING TO HAVE IT SWITCH AUTOMATICALLY depending on wifi vs mobile data source.
4 ★ My phone doesn't have a compass however the app does give me the compass bearing the antenna needs to be aimed at and that is all I really need. Good enough.
5 ★ my current phone doesn't have built in compas. this app gives not just area map, but compas points from my location to each transmission tower. other apps I tried only have GPS map
1 ★ Not very good. I can take a compass bearing to my nearest antenna and this app is at least 30 degrees out.
1 ★ Loads with compass arrows screen goes dim, then if touch anything it crashes. Totally useless.

1 ★ No way to click the map or to see antenna coverage ranges in it. This so doesn't do anything useful.
