This stotra is chanted in order to beget the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi (to beget wealth, fortunes, and to be granted boons as well as to alleviate misfortunes, suffering, and poverty.
Goddess Mahalakshmi is the divine consort of Lord Vishnu and is believed to protect her devotees from all kinds of miseries in life and money-related sorrows.
The Kanakadhara Stotra is a powerful Sanskrit hymn dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the Hindu Goddess of prosperity (both material and spiritual), wealth, fertility, good fortune, and courage.
