This app contains a translation of the Dasadhamma Sutta, or Ten Dhammas for Buddhist Monks (AN 10.48), from a collection of Theravada Buddhist sacred texts known as the Anguttara Nikaya. Dasadhamma Sutta transmits a set of ten contemplations or reflections suggested by the Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama) to his monks. In this discourse, the Buddha identifies "ten things" (dasa dhamma) that renunciates (pabbajita) should reflect upon often. A Buddhist monk needs to perform constant introspection on the path to ensure that s/he adheres to the virtues of the Eightfold Path and attains the highest merit. These ten basic meditations help to enable the monks to accomplish their noble objectives. Translated into English from the original Pali.
