It takes practice to learn the written arithmetic. It is often difficult to motivate your own child to do this. What doesn't work in school will certainly not work at home with the same math books.

Then the idea came up to increase the motivation of my own daughter by finding an Android app for her smartphone.

But when searching, it quickly became clear that there was nothing that could be used to practice basic written arithmetic using the methods taught in German-speaking countries.

The existing apps are quite nice and funny, but almost all of them are based on the English-language calculation methods and spellings. In addition, most of the apps were set up as multiple choice tasks. All of this only confuses the children and is even counterproductive to practice the written arithmetic.

So I set out to develop something myself. I concentrated on subtracting, multiplying and dividing in writing.

The child should be briefly introduced to the app by an adult. For each type of calculation there is a separate help in somewhat simplified language, but above all with many pictures. Then the child should be able to find his way around quickly, and hopefully find pleasure in practicing.
