Description
Almáchar is a Spanish municipality in the province of Malaga. The city name is derived from the Arabic "Al Maysar" which means "Land of the meadows". The first real historical data we have of the place are the sixteenth century, when a number of families involved in the occupation of the city after the Moors settled there.
