O objetivo do App é coletar dados individuais de pacientes que serão submetidos a cirurgia cardíaca, calcular o risco de óbito pelo EuroSCORE II. Além de fazer o cálculo, os dados podem ser enviados para um formulário do Google forms. Tanto os dados de cada variável e a identificação do pacientes (Número de Prontuário) quanto o valor do EuroSCORE II são armazenados no Google forms.

Evaluation of the prognosis of patients undergoing cardiac surgery.

The purpose of the App is to collect individual data from patients who will undergo cardiac surgery, to calculate the risk of death by EuroSCORE II. In addition to the calculation, the data can be sent to a Google forms form. Both the data for each variable and the patient ID (Record Number) and the EuroSCORE II value are stored in Google forms.

Despite the enormous variability in mortality and incidence of complications in the postoperative period of cardiac surgeries, routine evaluations could improve this scenario, increasing the quality of data recording and consequent decrease in the rate of trans and postoperative complications. Several prognostic scores in cardiac surgery were developed to better understand the results observed in this type of surgery: EuroSCORE, Society of Thoracic Surgeons Scores (STS), Texas Heart Institute Risk Scoring Technique (THIRST), Initial Personnel Score, Cleveland Clinic Score, French Score, Pons Score, Ontario Province Risk Score.
