Description

Check-Routine: a management tool that evaluates the quality of care with the objective of improving processes and results, assisting both the Infection Control Service (SCIH) and the Nursing Managers in their respective sectors.

This instrument makes it possible to verify on the spot whether the SCIH routines are being applied or not and whether the objectives proposed by the nursing and the SCIH are being reached.

Check-Routine is an instrument for evaluating outcome indicators, consisting of items assessing the topics: hand hygiene, respiratory tract, vascular access, urinary tract, isolation.

The instrument is applied at least once a month, in the open areas (apartments and infirmaries). The evaluated population consists of technicians and nursing auxiliaries of the open sectors of the day shift.
