WHAT'S THERAPEER?
• As a PEER you can help other community members seeking emotional support via private group chat.
• As a HOST you can open your own private Support Room, where 3 experienced Peers will join and focus solely on supporting you in your time of need.
• Earn kudos when providing support as a Peer, to use towards your very own private Support Room, FREE OF CHARGE.
• Therapeer is completely ANONYMOUS. You are never asked for your real name and we’ll never disclose your personal information.
• A variety of topics to choose from, including Marriage problems, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, and many more.
WHY USE THERAPEER?
You're not alone: Everyone faces emotional issues from time to time. Research shows that sharing your experiences with others can be highly therapeutic for both you and the listener. Using Therapeer and participating in private support sessions provides an opportunity for people to share personal experiences and feelings, coping strategies, and to gain a sense of community and empowerment.
Yes, you can go to therapy - but time and place are rigid and it can be so expensive. We get it.
Yes, you can share your issues with your friends, but they don’t always have the time, energy, or ability to answer your emotional needs. We get that, too.
Yes, social network groups and in-person support groups can help, but there's no anonymity. There are certain issues you don’t want the whole world to know about. We TOTALLY get that.
But most of all: Other support group formats aren't focused on solving just one issue - everyone shares the stage. And there's no guarantee that anyone will even respond. Sometimes, you just want the focus to be on YOU.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
• Provide other community members with emotional support as a Peer. By doing so, it will help you deal with your own challenges in a broader perspective and will make you feel better by knowing you helped others in need.
• Already gained the gratification of helping others? Go ahead and create your very own support room (or, if you don't want to wait, we offer the option to purchase a credit to open your room immediately).
• After your private anonymous Support Room is opened, we match you with other Therapeer community members who have struggled with something similar to what you're experiencing. Peer assignment is based on your personal preferences and on the topic being discussed.

1 ★ When you load the app it forces you to choose 10 things you can help out with. I couldn't think of one. Either I was overwhelmed by the issue myself, in which case, it was something I couldn't help with, or I knew nothing about what someone with the issue would experience. There was no path, no clue what to do from there, if this is you.
1 ★ Honestly is missing a lot of things first of all I catch a person who opened a room like a female but he was a man. That's not correct for the others who really wants to help not to enjoy stupid kids or spam or fake people. Also it should be a way to report them and to block.
5 ★ Really good app. Excellent free tool for speaking to people about your problems, or for helping others. No ads either. I'd highly recommend. There is a good community and so many helpful people available to speak with.
5 ★ Fantastic concept, for the vast majority wonderful users, an hour long timer eases up the participants. All my experiances were great, some more some less. The only downside is that maybe it is a little bit empty ... sometimes there is no groups to join
5 ★ I went to create my own room and in a few minutes, 3 people went inside and started talking to me who understands what I went through. It was very helpful and uplifting.
1 ★ Poorly designed app. Broken system. You need coins to start your own "room" but to earn those coins you have to join other peoples rooms, which are closed 100 percent of the time. Seems to be a scam for the mentally ill.
5 ★ Absolutely fantastic app! Would highly recommend to anyone needing advice or needing to talk. Everyone I've spoken with so far has been supportive and caring with no judgement.... Keep up the good work, this app definitely helps.
1 ★ Amazing app but my account got deleted half way through a session as i accidentaly said I am 15 instead of I started at 15 (to do with self harm) so i can no longer use this app, it really helped me and I want to continue using it but a spelling error caused me my account.
5 ★ Everyone who is saying it won't put them in a room is just not waiting long enough. It literary only take like 3 minutes and you can exit the app and play games while you wait. Aside from that I got this app today and joined two rooms to help people so far, and it was awsome! It really helps your happiness. And I just ended my room and all of the people were so nice to me and I went from feeling so alone to so happy. I totally recommend this app!
4 ★ A great app to offer support and recieve it back in kind. Easy to use, but a bit klunky, and sometimes slow to load. You do need to offer support before you can get support for yourself, which is great in concept, but in practice it can lead to new people trying to hijack sessions about themselves. The community is friendly and super supportive, but the sessions are difficult because of time limits: if you join midsession you can end up only have a fre minutes to try to help.
1 ★ The reviews below about not being able to get into a room are true... I just downloaded this..its a good concept. I think it can help people if they need it. Problem is how can it help if you cant contact anyone? Defeats it's own purpose and causes more frustration. I am hoping you can take this into consideration as you have a winning idea.
3 ★ Whilst, on the face of it, this app appears to be a wonderful way of connecting people of similar experience as a support network, it fails to ensure that one person's problems are not drowned by the peers voices. For example, when on a chat about someone's struggles with a partner, it is not appropriate for a therapist to start ranting about a past experience that is unrelated. But this is not policed. I have already found myself having to steer the conversation back to the person in need.
1 ★ I'm still trying this out but first experience was awful. I waited over 20 min just to get peers in my room than I just started throwing stuff out there and expressing myself because I really needed to talk. Now I feel like an idiot because the room closed itself on me and I still had an HR left. This was kind of triggering like I was denied to have any resolve. I had already typed out all I had to say and I was waiting for the responses from my peers. Now I have 24 hrs to wait? Bull....
1 ★ This app is a complete waste of your time. There are NEVER any groups/rooms to join at any time! To start your own, you have to PAY for it or earn it by attending one of the groups/rooms that you cant get into! Definitely VERY disappointed!! This is one app that i was looking forward too as i love helping people with problems. They need to do some overhauling on this one!
4 ★ I like this app, it's a very neat concept. Today was my first time using it. However, after the first two rooms. I have been having trouble joining another chat later in the day as it keeps saying "cant join this chat" when the chat says it has space, in addition to my age, gender, preferences etc. matching. Not sure what went wrong?
