1 ★ Hoped I'd have better luck than other reviews but somehow it worked worse for me than most reviews! Keeps crashing while trying to make a group and cannot find my friend when searching for them to add to group. Giving up and uninstalling. Music is good. Walkie talkie function is worse than useless: frustrating AND doesn't work. If I wanted just music there are cheaper options that actually work as advertised! Also, not a freakin walkie talkie if it needs phone data!
1 ★ I've spent hours trying to get this to work. headphones work. sometimes connects to google assistant, sometime won't. i have a pixel 2. Walkie talkie function is very finicky. phone has to be within a foot if headphones for walkie talkie to work. overall cery disappointed. if i cant figure it out, likely to return them after we fet back from this ski trip.
2 ★ Anyone struggling to get this working, you need to pair BOTH Bluetooth devices. The headset (audio and mic) in Bluetooth settings of your phone. The second via this app, basically the PTT button functionality pairs separately. My issue is volume on walkie talkie volume. The screenshots show a volume control which does not exist! All I need is the ability to adjust how loud the walkie talkie is compared to my music as its just too quiet!

I bought them new in January for my girlfriend and I to communicate, the Bluetooth works most of the time to make calls and Google assistant/Siri works most of the time, however, the Walkie Talkie has never worked on iPhone or Android. I've called support, I've uninstalled/re-installed, unpaired and paired again (both Bluetooth pairings) and the software flat out doesn't work. I haven't met a person yet who has gotten the WT to work. Refunds should be issued OT!
1 ★ Samsung Note 8, PTT will not work on my headset. BUT somehow when I press the record button on my phone, it activates recording on a friends headset while continuing to play my music on my headset. When I release the record button it plays her recorded voice in my headphones.... unpaired and deleted everything and now PTT does nothing at all. Was pretty excited about these but seems to be a long way from being functional.
1 ★ This product does not actually support the full functionality of the walkie-talkie application that it promises. The app does work, and the audio transmission for the walkie-talkie component works, however there is no way to hands-free activate the application from the headset. You have to manuallypress the button on the application to record a transmission. I called the company customer service and was directly told that they know it no longer and they recommend returning the product.
1 ★ cant get them to work at all. they say they are paired but nothing shows up on the app and it keeps crashing when I try to create a group in the app. just tried calling support at the phone number provided in other reviews and it goes to a VM for Taylor. seems like this is a sham of a product. will be returning.
2 ★ I wish the Walkie Talking app had the capability to adjust volume of people talking. If I'm listening to music and someone beeps in, it comes it about 3-4x quieter than the music I'm listening to. Not really feasible for use. I really hope you guys can do something about that.
1 ★ Doesn't work at all for me shows no Bluetooth devices available disappointing £100 headphones and the software for them is useless doesn't deserve the one star but its the lowest rating on here so it'll have to do
1 ★ If it was possible I would give these headphones a zero star rating. I purchased these headphones for the walkie talkie feature for an upcoming trip to CO and it barely functions at all. It seems to only work if the app is open and not if the phone is in background. Outdoor Research should advertise this product as headphones only. Extremely disappointed.
1 ★ Bought myself and my dad a pair for Christmas. Speaker quality seems decent but walkie talkie function which is the main purpose of app dors not work. App does not recognize my OnePlus6T running Android 9(pie) but does recognize the iphone 7+. App seems to not work with android based on prior reviews. Hoping someone is working on this
3 ★ We got the walkie talkie feature to work, but only if pressing the button on the app. Holding down the right button on the Chips isn't working, so operation with gloves is a no-go. The app needs work.
2 ★ The speakers are good for listening to music but the walkie talkie finction doesn't work. Pixel 3 XL. Bought two pairs for Christmas and I hope this issue gets addressed very soon. Very disappointed to see this has been an issue this long.
1 ★ The app crashes frequently and only works while the screen is on with Pixel 3 xl. Turned off battery optomization and it still stops working about 5 minutes after the screen turns off. They are Ok head phones but its a lousy walkie talkie your better off with a two way radio.
1 ★ Doesn't work at all with Chips. The app is completely non-responsive when using the Chip button to try and initiate walkie talkie feature. Based on other's feedback, I am not alone.
