Description
The display and access of your medical information from your lock screen are made possible via an accessibility service to enable and that is part of the core features of the app. Once enabled, the accessibility service displays a widget over your lock screen. This widget helps people who have disabilities, or first responders in case of emergency, to take action and access medical data.
This is the free version of the app. Upgrading to the premium version gives you access to more features and help us to maintain the app and add features. Please note the upgrade is required only once in your lifetime!a

App permissions
Medical ID 7.17.2 APK requires following permissions:
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an application to request deleting packages.
Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.
Allows an application to send SMS messages.
Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows access to the vibrator.

5 ★ I still think it's a great product but the banner when your phone is not off but not being used when you pick it up it's supposed to come on and you see the banner and that doesn't happen now it happens only every other time. That's not good because of a paramedic went to look and it wasn't there that would spell trouble for you. It works great and I have a lot of medical problems that people need to know about ingreqt an emergency
1 ★ I used to love this app, but today I noticed that the lock screen access banner was missing. I went to adjust the settings and it wants full control of my phone. There is no way I'm giving full access, and I see no reason why it would need full access. Will be searching for a replacement today
5 ★ I have a lot of medical problems, and this app keeps track of all my allergies, medicines, surgeries, doctors, and emergency contact. It's very ease to use, and the best thing about this app is EMTs, DOCTORS, FAMILY & FRIENDS can hit the red medical app without opening my phone. It's an awesome app.
1 ★ Not sure about adding information after initially. Found no buttons to do so. I'm starting to see more of an advantage to just writing it out on a PDF blank than get tangled up with this. The only reason I gave it one star is that I couldn't write the review without it.
2 ★ App seems decent but the lock screen icon continually disappears and I have to go into settings and make it show up again but it will only last a day or two before it stops working. UPDATE: App sucks. Lock screen button disappears ever couple of days.
5 ★ Easy to use & update, plus it's free (unlike, say, a medical ID wristband). You can put a floating icon, bar or second layer on your lock screen *if* you want to give a third party (such as ambulance personnel) immediate access to your medical details. There's plenty of room in the information boxes to add/change/delete things as they change (prescriptions, etc), and you can link to your relatives, health care providers and others from your contacts. I really like this app. Thx!
5 ★ Very handy to have! First responders are able to access your emergency information without having access to anything else on your device. As an RN, I highly recommend this to all my patients & families.
5 ★ This review is for the free version of this app. I installed it approximately 5 years ago. I have really liked this app from the very beginning. It DID have a few glitches where the widget disappeared from the lock screen. That seems to have been fixed for quite some time. I have multiple chronic illnesses and have had a myriad of surgeries and procedures over the years and it is so handy to have all of that info in addition to all of my meds in one place. I'm upgrading to the premium version.
3 ★ Used to work. After recent samsung s10e updates I cannot get to show on home screen. It wants to use an accessibility option, but that doesn't seem to work either.
5 ★ Very handy to have my information available on phone like a medical ID bracelet. A little hard to navigate back one screen if I made an error in personal data entry before app is completed.
4 ★ Great App, BUT.... would like 1 specific ability if possible, that being locking the position of the lock screen widget. Tired of it getting "accidentally moved" when swiping screen. Thanks.
5 ★ Good app, in an emergency it is visible on the lock screen and gives instructions as to how to open it for medical information. It is a real must have.
4 ★ Good app overall. Sometimes the icon on my lock screen disappears, and I have to play with the settings until it comes back.
5 ★ It's great, but my icon on my locked screen keeps disappearing. I continually have to go back into it to set it up again. very annoying.
5 ★ Great app. I have a lot of Health problems. An I live alone. This helps out. In times when an if I can't talk.
