Description

Firewall WITHOUT ROOT. Host name/domain name filtering, simple interface, fine-grained access control and no suspicious permissions on the firewall app itself.

* TO LTE USERS *
NoRoot Firewall may not work on LTE because it NoRoot Firewall currently doesn't support IPv6. I'm working on the fix.

NoRoot Firewall requires NO ROOT. It protects your personal information from being sent to the Internet. NoRoot firewall notifies you when an app is trying to access the Internet. All you need to do is just press Allow or Deny button.

NoRoot Firewall allows you to create filter rules based on IP address, host name or domain name. You can allow or deny only specific connections of an app.

Features
- No root required as the name NoRoot Firewall says.
- Fine-grained access control based on IP/host name/domain name.
- Simple interface. Easy to use.
- Minimal permissions. No location, No phone number.

This is the perfect solution if you want a firewall for android without root. It gives you a complete protection for your Android. NoRoot Firewall is like Drodwall for no root users.

5 ★ Just got it. Well done. It shows how little control we have over the constant intrusion into our devices . Apps are run by people who have no respect for privacy. I hope Google and the other App developers don't find a way to cheat their way past this app. If they do litigation in the EU courts will be the only other option.

1 ★ It says its compatable with android10, but it absolutely doesn't function at all with android10 it just blocks everything can't connect to internet at all even though access is allowed in firewall !! Used to be great app before prior to android10 now its a broken pile of dong!!! Forced to uninstall because its useless...

5 ★ Hey there 😊. I've been trying this app for a few days now and Works great! The only issue I found was after I've exported my filters to a .json file in my downloads folder, I can't seem to import them back. The file is there but greyed out. Please assist. Thanks!

5 ★ Fantastic app. I use it to go offline on whatsapp while watching netflix. One suggestion though, please add "allow all" and "deny all" checkbox in the apps panel. It is tiresome to manually allow/deny each app. A home screen widget to turn it on/off would be a huge plus.

4 ★ Does exactly what it says. Super easy (but tedious) control over every single outgoing IP connection. LOTS of room to improve, but I use it every day as-is, it works perfectly well, and I haven't found anything as straightforward that could replace it. After you've set enough custom rules, you barely even notice it's there. Eventually, it just turns into "Let's see how many things this new app is going to try to connect to".

5 ★ This is perfect. No root makes life perfect. I love it. If I have to restore the phone to factory, make sure you install this first. After you install this, turn off wifi/data. Then block all that bloat that you dont wish to run. There will be some apps that you will have to allow, but you know what you install. Just review all downloads, then you will know what to block. This works, I really wish I had found this 50 years ago... Chuckle chuckle. Thumbs up.

4 ★ Very good app. It helps cutdown a ton of traffic I didn't know was happening until I installed this and started watching the logs. I would be happy to pay for this app if you could add an export feature for the logs. Good work so far. Thank you

5 ★ Works perfectly on Android 9 and after update still run no problem on Android 10. Being killed by overprotecting optimizer on my Redmi, but as it's set as Always-on VPN, so device remain secured. Would be fantastic, if one could configure it as a bridge or VPN client, so outgoing traffic would go through real VPN...

1 ★ Probably the best VPN firewall which also stops Android system files from accessing the internet. I which continue to start no matter how many times you kill it. They're only been a few surprises when I found that the firewall had stopped working & it did not inform me nor did not even restart itself. Since this is probably the most important app on my phone, it needs 2 restart. Update. this used to be a good app, but now it just shuts off and lets everything access the internet. How sad!

4 ★ I very much like this app, and have found it to be quite effective. However, if I could be granted one wish for an improvement, I would ask that in addition to the connectivity options, yes/no, the addition of the option, "Ask me every time". I realize what that could mean, but it would still be *very* useful for analysis and control! None the less, thank you for your fine work! :-)

3 ★ App does a decent job blocking Internet access to most apps, but seems to let apps that are blocked pass popup ads through. Apps like Facebook and Messager can still get Internet access even though they are blocked in this app. I wish this app could block specific addresses or ports. Firewall randomly shuts off giving blocked apps internet access. Should have an automatic restart option in case it gets turned off.

5 ★ It worked great until the hackers I'm trying to block managed to disable the "Auto start on boot" option on the Home screen. Other than that, it works great and I highly recommend it...even if you're not under a hack attack.

5 ★ Just nice and simple application doing what I expect. Now, I am controlling my network connection not only by installed apps, but also I can block any IP or domain as i wish to. I can't expect any more from a free application.

3 ★ It will be great if there was a "favourites" section right at the top so that I do not have to scroll all the way to the bottom each time I want to open or close up Whatsapp (and the like) for the day. Make it with ten slots and then people can decide which ones they want right at the top. Really like this app otherwise, much more effective than the counterparts I've tried before venturing upon this one. A "favourites" section at the top, gets you 5 stars, c'mon guys!!!

5 ★ This app provides a solution to internet privacy that no other app can do. Even if you root your phone, you will want to use this firewall to filter out unwanted connections made by apps that you need to use (like Outlook connecting to Facebook). In terms of its functionality, it is straightforward & intuitive. I think that there is still room for this app to grow, such as preset firewall profiles, an external VPN service integration, and IP/domain identity lookup. support for IPv6 hopeful
