Description
Since many devices do not come with this application, here is a build for the Music Player directly from https://android.googlesource.com/platform/packages/apps/Music.git (without changing any line of code).
The application is completely free and does not have any advertisement.

Music Player (no-ads) 1.1.1 APK requires following permissions:

3 ★ This app is exactly what it says. Only there are no equalizer settings like in the pre-loaded app on most Android phones. Sadly for my taste, the music plays way too loudly even at the lowest possible volume, so I cannot continue using it. The sound quality is good, it reads mp3s perfectly, and it is straightforward.
5 ★ very simplistic, ad free, reads all of my music files as well. this app is perfect and gets the job done. Thank you for the free and reliable content. -also I saw a complaint regarding having to open the app to change songs. there is a widget for that. if you look in your widgets you can add it to your home screen! :) playlists do delete after a while and that's the only thing that really needs work in my opinion. For really free content, this app is superb.
1 ★ This could have been a good app. But there are just a few issues which makes it annoying, and borderline impossible to to use. Sometimes the audio will just cut out, for no reason whatsoever, and you have to reenter the app manually to start playing it again, except it starts you from the beginning of the song no matter what you do. There's also the issue of not being able to add multiple songs to playlists. You have to select each song individually, go to a drop down menu, click add to playlist, and then add it to one of the playlist by scrolling down. It takes ages and if you want to add anything in bulk, good luck. In short, there are better music apps on the market, even in the ad free category. The playlist thing isn't too terrible, but the audio cutting out gets annoying really fast, especially since it works JUST often enough that you think the problem has gone away. I should have switched ages ago, but I hope you learn from my mistake and choose a different player. Edit: I almost forgot another annoying thing. You cannot go back and listen to the previous song. It just restarts whatever song you are currently listening to, no matter how many times you push the button. Edit 2: also, I should point out that I am sure that audio cutting out is not just because of my phone or my headphones. It cuts out whether I'm connected to headphones, or Bluetooth, or just playing from the phone itself, and I have witnessed it across three different phones.
3 ★ I love this app except that every few weeks, I keep losing everything in my playlists. When I open a playlist that I've been listening to for the past week all the sudden all the songs I had in the playlist are gone! It's completely empty! When I go to other parts of the app, all my songs are there. But if I try and open any of my playlists, the playlist title is there but then there's nothing in the playlist! Why does this keep happening? I tried turning off automatic updates. But it's still happening what is wrong with this app? why does it keep doing this? I never had a problem with it on my other phone, so I don't understand why this keeps happening. Please fix or tell me how to get it to work the way it's supposed to. I don't want to have to keep remaking my playlists over and over and over. It's getting really annoying. Please help.
3 ★ This no non sense app is a big help where Google Music is a big joke and Mi Music app failed. But the playlist does disappear .... Not sure what happens

5 ★ Very nice app. Simple but straitforward and with all the features I want. I wish it would stop the song when you swipe the app away but you need to hit pause. It remembered where I was in the song even after I took the battery out and replaced it. And NO ads :-) update - delets media from playlists when I remove my SD card Update : never mind - spotify does the same thing so evidentially its common
5 ★ I really like this app, however when I make a playlist I wish they wouldn't delete when I clear out the cache on my phone. Other than that it's simple and to-the-point and does what I want to do, aside from the playlist LOL..
4 ★ great app but my only problem is the writing is too dark. Was fine on my old phone, maybe we could have a setting to change the colours on the font. Another gripe is it doesn't tell you how many songs are in a playlist or you have on thd phone.
3 ★ This is a great app, I would give it 5 stars but I can't. The major flaw is you {I} have to force stop in order to turn it off. Please add the close {X}. fix this and 5 stars!
1 ★ This app does play music but that's it. I have repeatedly added play lists and they are gone the next time I try to use it, wasted hours setting up play lists and total waste of time.
4 ★ Great music player. Google ruined theirs after Ice Cream Sandwich, but you brought it back with no stupid advertising. The only thing that would make it perfect is having a equalizer and/or a bass booster.
2 ★ Could not get the play lists to stop shuffling . Absolute pain when trying to listen to a sequence of episodes. Otherwise it could be fine simple app.
4 ★ excellent product, it is simple and easy to use. it shows all the track in album order, which is hard to find in an MP3 player. I would highly recommend this app.
3 ★ Love the app but cannot see the playlists due to no contrast on the screen and no settings to correct that. Otherwise this app would get 5 stars.
