Description
Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a condition characterized by difficulties in regulating emotion. This difficulty leads to severe, unstable mood swings, impulsivity and instability, poor self-image and stormy personal relationships.
A number of neuroimaging studies in BPD have reported findings of reductions in regions of the brain involved in the regulation of stress responses and emotion, affecting the dorsal frontal cortex, the orbitofrontal cortex, the anterior cingulate, the posterior cingulate, the sensorimotor cortex, the temporal cortex, the medial temporal cortex, the fusiform gyrus, the parietal cortex, the precuneus and the visual cortex.
Vital Tones BPD consist of 2 different sessions.
• Session 1 activates:
- the dorsal frontal cortex
- the orbitofrontal cortex
- the anterior cingulate
Session 1 is 22 minutes long.
• Session 2 activates:
- the posterior cingulate
- the sensorimotor cortex
- the temporal cortex
- the medial temporal cortex
- the fusiform gyrus
- the parietal cortex
- the precuneus
- the visual cortex
Session 2 is 22 minutes long.
Both sessions are crucial to have a complete entrainment!
