Description

FreeNAS Manager is an unofficial management app that can be used to monitor and, to some degree, control a FreeNAS server. It is tested and working on FreeNAS 9.2, 9.3, 9.10 10, and 11 (see below for version-specific notes).

Features:
- View basic server info (IP, version etc.)
- View volumes and their storage space status
- Initiate scrub on volumes
- View datasets and their storage space status
- View jails and their status (running, IP, autostart)
- Start/stop jail
- Reboot, shutdown and wake (Wake on LAN) server
- HTTPS support - including for selfsigned and/or invalid certificates (checkbox in settings)
- Button for opening Web GUI in browser
- Support for multiple servers
- Open jail IP address in browser
- View disks
- View number of available updates and apply them
- View/start/stop plugins
- View and run cron jobs
- View and run rsync tasks
- View Alerts

The API of FreeNAS 9.2 (and earlier) is different, so there are a couple of limitations when using that version:
- The server version isn't available, so it is just shown as 9.2 or earlier.
- Jails can't be started/stopped
- Volume storage is not the sum of all datasets. It is the same on the Web GUI.

On FreeNAS 9.10 starting and stopping a plugin currently doesn't work, which is an bug in FreeNAS. I have reported it and will keep an eye on their progress towards fixing it.

Support for FreeNAS 10 (Corral) is limited right now, so only overview, volumes, disks and power control is available.

Privacy information:
This app does not under ANY circumstances contact ANY other server than the one you provided in settings. In other words: Your password (and all other information) is safe - even from me. There are NO ADS - nor will there ever be.

Open source?
Not yet, but I am strongly considering open sourcing this app.

Ratings and Reviews

3 ★ Some pages crash the app, some places don't load, some text overlap each other, the ui in general looks doesn't look good, ux isn't amazing, def can be improved.

5 ★ I have been using this app for about a year now and I mostly love it. i would like to see some more system reporting and customization for each server (ie: backgound images, different themes). its stable and has a decent dashboard. the only app i use to monitor or control basic functions of my FreeNAS servers.

3 ★ I'm in doubt about this app, it looks kinda weird, especially for it being paid. But that's not very important if it would be done well otherwise. However, a lot of functionality isn't provided. Jails, VMs, plugins, Cron Jobs, Rsync etc all are read only, or provide basic options like "run task" the web UI of FreeNAS isn't really usable when on mobile, but this isn't a good alternative either. but for a quick look on the disk usage it's okay.

4 ★ Solid app! Does everything it says it can do. Obviously some more functionality would be great but otherwise a nice monitoring app, better than the web interface. Only other request - Dark mode :)

4 ★ Mmm..pretty empty .. missing services. 'fetching alers' forever, that'd be so cool to show these in freenas 11.3. can't in/lock drives which don't require password in UI. Hope enhancements will come

4 ★ Good potential. Doesn't work with TrueNAS Core. Detects it as <9 or older..

3 ★ Not a lot of usable features for a paid app. What it has is done well but constant crashes accessing disk information caused me to refund and uninstall

5 ★ Great app, but could you please change its icon? Currently it looks like a bloody butthole, which reminds me about awful kindergarten years with app designer, who used his anus as a tunnel for tiny railroad.

3 ★ As others have said could look better and have more features. I will keep it in hope the developer puts in the work to improve the app.

4 ★ good app but still no update for iocage jail type management like older jails ... Edit: found it .. Thankss.

5 ★ Very useful app for FreeNAS users. Please make one for iOS. Thanks!

3 ★ Here is my reason for giving 3 stars you do not reply to other peoples reviews when you do here on the play store i will give you the other 2 and don't ask what can I be helped with go answers others reviews

5 ★ Just asking how does this connect to the server? ssh?

1 ★ Won't even install!

1 ★ sucks. Cant do much from the app
