- the warning about the app being "optimized" by Androids battery saving feature can't be disabled anymore. The app won't work if it's limited by Android! If the app won't work for you, make sure it's not "optimized" by any battery saving features on your device

Description
How it works:
This app reads the next alarm set and turns on your LIFX & Hue lights before your alarm automatically, emulating a sunrise in your bedroom. It integrates with your regular alarm clock app!
Features:
• Adjustable colors: from red to the different shades of white (1500-6500k)
• Dynamic customizable color transition: light changes its color gradually e.g. from deep orange to daylight white
• Sunrise starting time before the alarm: 0 - 90 min
• Duration of the sunrise: 0 - 90 min
• Twilight: blue light before the sunrise
• Turns off the light afterwards automatically if desired
• Active hours: only act on alarms in a specified time frame
• Custom schedules
• Schedules can be exported to the bridge (Hue only)
• IFTTT support
• Tasker/Automate integration via intents
• Select single lights or groups/rooms
Please contact me, if the app doesn't work! I'll do my best to fix the issue but need your help in doing so. Every bug report helps me improving the app! I'll send you a refund, if we can't get it to work!
Be advised:
• For Android 10 the permission to draw over other apps is needed. The app has to ask for this permission before it can launch the UI.
• For Philips Hue a bridge is required. Bluetooth connected lights are not supported!
• Aggressive battery saving features of some devices/vendors may interfere with the functionality of Sunrise Alarm. Please keep them disabled or exclude Sunrise Alarm!
• On Android 8 and above Sunrise Alarm is now forced to run in foreground with a permanent notification. This is due to new rules set by Google crippling apps that run in background.
• Some wakeup apps don't set regular alarms that Sunrise Alarm can read. Automatic reading of the next alarm won't work with e.g. PocketBell.
Don't got any LIFX or Hue lights?
If you've got a smartlight that's supported by IFTTT, Sunrise Alarm can still provide basic functionality. In the debug menu there is the setting "IFTTT / Tasker only mode" and with this you can use Sunrise Alarm without having to setup or even own any LIFX or Hue lights!

5 ★ I'm still working out the kinks after switching to pixel 3. This is still the only app I am aware of on Android that allows the customization I want so if I can find workarounds(I can't seem to be able to export to bridge?) I will continue to use this awesome app.
2 ★ The app would see my Hue bridge in seconds but pressing the button wouldn't authorise it, even tried disabling mobile data to make sure all data stayed on Wifi but no luck. Official Hue app and All4hue worked instantly. Also uploading the sunrise routine to bridge wont work with rooms which is what I need as i often use airplane mode at night ans have multiple bulbs. If you can get it work looks good. DEV - I have a Samsung S8+ on Oreo, not rooted, same wifi as Bridge, other hue apps work.
4 ★ The app works when it wants to. This app worked great one night and then woke me up 3 hours early the next day. Now it's not working at all and I have no idea how to fix it. This is a great idea but it needs to be more reliable to be useful. Edit: So I played around with it and it works if you make sure to do everything perfectly: I do love this app when it works and hope all the bugs can get figured out :) * make sure battery optimization is off * make sure your phone and the app are on the same wifi network. For some reason my phone moves between 2 and I had it set on my main one but my phone doesn't seem to like that one as much. * Make sure if you're using smart home your light is set to on. IF it's off the lifx app will still control your bulb but the alarm won't. - It only seems to work if your lights are turned off on the lifx app. The test will work if your bulbs are on but the alarm won't for some reason. With that said, I have no idea whey it woke my up at 7:30 and not my scheduled time (9am).
5 ★ I got the lifx bulb hoping to turn it into a sunrise alarm and this app does exactly what I want! It was simple to install and set up, and worked perfectly this morning. Great value :)
4 ★ Great app with great functionalities. Sometimes the app won't start and I have to restart, maybe an Android P issue? Also doesn't seem the use the whole length of the screen.
5 ★ I have a very early schedule and I find this a much more relaxing and pleasant way to wake up. I like that it automatically starts before my alarm and you can customize the duration and brightness.
4 ★ I like it, a bit buggy at times, might be lifx api. would love an option to say it should not turn on my light when I'm not home. maybe look at wifi or check a user definde location.
1 ★ Having the same issue other users describe. Only works for me if I open it before going to bed, fails otherwise. I've tried the debugging features but they don't help.
5 ★ I love this app! Its especially amazing in the winter when its dark forever. Having my light start to fade on before my alarm goes off does wonders. 100% worth the purchase!
1 ★ This do not work. it works under configuration, but when it't time to get up. the app have crashed, an it do not turn on lites to wake me. I'm on a pixel phone.
3 ★ Didn't get to try it, unfortunately. It requires internet connection when running, and my phone is on flight mode when I sleep, so, no good. It could all be a lot simpler and more straightforward though.
5 ★ Excellent app, just what I was looking for. I bought a LIFX bulb so I could use it as a sunrise alarm and this app means I don't have to manually set it as it can detect the alarms from the stock android alarms app.
5 ★ Easy to set up and use, does exactly what I wanted it to do. The granular control over color temperatures and fade in time is awesome.

2 ★ I like the no nonsense approach in comparison with sleep as Android but the app only works once. Afterwards I need to force close it and restart the app before every morning...
