5 ★ A bit of a learning curve for the less-tech inclined, but think I need to read owners manual provided. Will probably upgrade to Pro version to do still more. First impression is very good. Later. But, unable to print user guide, which has a phishing guidance? No printable user guide makes app much less interesting...and perhaps dangerous?? Several months later the app is working beautifully and so I rate it five stars.
1 ★ Seriously. I read the instructions. A lot of help that was. Im an electrician, shouldn't be complicated. Im trying to use this to find the best placement for extender. I shouldn't have to stand next to my router to make this work. Slow refresh, if it even does. I need to know where the signal is, not have it do nothing and then pop up an add. And still do nothing Uninstalled will never recommend
3 ★ Have premium. Overall decent app, but expected a bit more for the $6 as far as UX. When I click on the "router settings" it gives an error and says "Unsupported Browser. Please update or use a different browser." I've tried changing my default from DDG to Firefox, to Chrome. Still giving me problems. Also would be great if more info popped up on "Devices on network" besides just IP Addresses.
5 ★ Works great. You can easily see what networks are around you, what channel they're on, etc., and the available filters are very useful. Definitely a very handy app if you're running into trouble with multiple networks interfering with each other. I highly recommend.
4 ★ Very helpful for optimizing router settings! Not easy to use from a cell phone, but it scanned my network and recommended settings changes that definitely improved performance. It is important to use channels with minimal or no interference from neighbors' networks. This program scans all networks and recommends settings for your network(s).
5 ★ Very simple to use &understand.Not complicated, it easily helps me identify which channels are busiest or with least usage. Also helps me see all the different wifi's all around me & they're quality. Use this App everyday to keep my networks on the best channels available. My ISP,(xfinity) is horrible & even worse if left to standard"auto configuring network channels" it combines 2.4& 5G,slower than molasses. This App,I control the channels I'm on, so its 3xfaster. Update-STILL LOVE WIFI ANALYZR
4 ★ The interface is easy to use, and very detailed, with the signal meter being very sensitive. Also, knowing who is accessing my network is great for stopping attacks. I was able to use the analytics tool to identify weak/interfering spots in my house, and fix them for a faster connection. --- The only problems I see is that some instruments (speed test) are less accurate overall. ALSO: You must turn off Wi-fi throttling in your phone's developer settings to get constant scanning.
5 ★ So I got a drone at a yard sale and was having trouble connecting it. I downloaded this app to see what had signal and what didn't. It showed me that I have a weak signal comming from the drone. It also showed me how much power the WiFi extender was producing as apposed to our internet router. Showed all on a nice scale. Worked with out having to do anything more than turning it on. Works very well.
5 ★ I've had this free app on a couple devices and it's fast, accurate (I compared w/FAST) and gives really useful info if trying to find a different channel or whose on network. It's very intuitive, to navigate and I give big KUDOS. LL Oh..my response to a couple reviews...I'd consider this to be a troubleshooting, monitoring tool while you find best location etc..Disable the app settings to only run on demand.
5 ★ One cannot reach out and touch WiFi. It consists of only radio waves! Analyzer shows where those misterious waves are, their strength, their names, their length and reports all these physical data, minute by minute! In the Information Age, this is like reporting where the oxygen is. On the go, we cannot survive without WiFi, and this Ap shows us where to get it, using clear graphical displays that all can see. It makes the invisible... visable! Essential as radar to a pilot.
5 ★ I tested six of the top Wi-Fi analyzers. I wanted to find the best app to help me determine an optimal channel in the 5 GHz band. This was my favorite, and I look forward to buying the Premium version. Of the apps that I tried, this is the only app that correctly displays channel numbers in the 5 GHz band! See the table on "List of WLAN channels" at Wikipedia to better understand the bandwidths and overlap that make the issue so complex. Also, I appreciate how pretty the colors are on the graph. I am within range of 30 access points (APs), and this is the only app with a spectrum-analyzer function that didn't make my eyes sore. Ultimately, I like the simplicity and accuracy of this app. The distance estimates are handy as well. While the app warns you if location services are turned off (all Wi-Fi apps need that permission in order to scan), it fails to warn you if Wi-Fi is off. Instead, it displays a blank graph and lists no APs.
5 ★ This is a great app! If you ever wondered why your home WiFi connection acts so intermittently, using this app might be the key to fixing it! I love the multi-color plots showing the strength levels of the competing neighboring systems & the channels in use that surround you. Plus it has other features like real time strength measuring & more (but unfortunately the obligatory speed test isn't one of the free ones). I'm thinking of paying for the pro version. Too bad it's not available on iPhone.
4 ★ Works real good. Only issue I found is that if your AP is on channel 13 (2.4Ghz) which one of my AP's is it wont show up. My signal strength on that channel right here is ~60% so it "should" show up but doesn't. Probably due to there not being 2 channels on each side for the signal to show a total channel width of 5 channels (the one you're on and 2 on each side) for the arch. Channel 1 has that extra room to the left for 2 channels (room for the arch) but 13 does not. It has a 14 but no 15. Other than that nice app well done.
4 ★ Very nice app. I install wifi mesh systems and do a lot of testing for signal strength. I have decided to use this now instead of Xerius WiFi Inspector. My only gripe is that you have to wait a minute to get a good reading after changing locations. Xerius has the same issue. I know there's a lot of calculations, but maybe checkmark specific networks for priority processing. Going to buy the pro version to support you.
5 ★ Really handy when setting up prepaid wifi routers during my travels. Great that it shows the best channel for the network my device is currently using. I don't have to analyze the channels manually. This app does the work for me. Now if it could only make my network switch to the best channel automatically, in real-time, that would be perfect. But that's asking for too much. Or is it? Haha! Thanks!
